                                                                      Stangs R Us Mustang Club
                                                                      SRUMC

                                                          Club Member Points System

SRUMC will implement a standard point system that will reward members for supporting their club in various ways. Support for our club involves attending club meetings, club events, cars shows, club fundraisers, and donations given to the club(donations do not have to be money donated, can be any item submitted/given to all club members ). We will award points based on the attendence to the support items listed above. Failure to acquire more than 60 points in 6 months will terminate your SRUMC membership. This is being implemented to avoid having “ghost members”, we’d prefer our members be active and engaged in our club. Each new membership to our club will undergo a 6 month probationary period,  failure to acquire more than 60 points in 6 months will terminate the new membership.  This same 60 point rule includes current members as well, any member not participating in any club events and is strictly a forum user will have their membership removed.

Points will be awarded as stated below:

Money/Gift Donation to Club : 200 points ($40 or more donation is required)

Attending Club Meeting  "Without car : 50 points "  " With Car : 100 points"

Attending Cruise In's : 100 points (With car only)

Attending a SRUMC  Sponsored Event : 300 points (with or without car)

Attending non SRUMC Car show or Event with Club: "With car : 250 points "   "Without car : 125 points"

Finding New Sponsorship for Club: 300 points

Forum Participation (10 post or more in a month) : 10 points

Bringing New Members to SRUMC : 50 points

Point system will be put into affect 4/11/09 and will be re-instated back to Jan 1 ,2009. Points acquired before Jan 1, 2009 will not be valid, and any points awarded from Jan 1 to April 11, 2009 will be awarded by the President & Vice Presidents records/memory. Any questions about points or any suggestions to making the system better should be sent to Daniel or Kevin, or addressed at a Club Meeting .

Brief Clarification for the donations credit , if you give any item to all members that cost you money to produce ...past example Key Chains, Water Park Passes, or make a donation of $40 or more , then you will recieve 200 points.

Clarification on "Attending " Non SRUMC Car Shows or Club Attended Events

"Attending" = Registering for either Display Only or Show for the Car Show
This is not a new rule it has been in place since the points started , but the wording can confuse ..  so i'm placing this here to hopefully help ease the confusement.

I think Going forward , we need to add some kind of points for visiting the car show. Whether this is something to change mid - year or wait till the start of 2011 , that is up to you guys.  But to be fair to past decisions     ..   for now it will continue to be 250 Points for registering a Club Car only

Club Attended Events are only events , that we plan to attend as a club in good numbers , or  that our Club has decided to attend in support of other local clubs such as SMC-HCMC -Twisted or WOT Display Days/toy runs /poker runs /etc ,  or Co-Events such as the WOT vs SRUMC Dyno Challenge . These type events are 250 points if you show up to the event on your stang , 125 points if you show up on another vehicle.

I agree with that. At least a minimum of 5 to 6 cars maybe?

Post a poll up.. we can have 5,6,7,or 8... 5 is more of a realistic number for our club right now, and that number can change as we grow.
